How to edit an application policy?

In this context, category labels (or just labels) correspond to the three buttons: "Productive," "Unproductive," and "Neutral."

To adjust an application policy to your preferences, follow these easy steps:

  • Navigate to the "Settings" located in the left navigation bar. Within the settings, select "Productivity Rules".

  • Within the "Productivity Rules" section, you have the flexibility to make two types of edits to an application policy:

1. Renaming the Policy

Step 1: To change the policy name, simply click on the edit symbol represented by a pencil icon positioned next to the policy name.

Step 2: A popup window will appear, enabling you to modify the policy name.

Step 3: After making your desired changes, click "Submit" to save the updates.

Step 4: The system will promptly confirm the successful update by displaying a message at the top of the screen, stating "Update successfully."

2. Reassigning Category Labels

Step 1: Select the application policy you intend to modify.

Step 2: On the right side of the screen, you'll find the presently assigned categories.

Step 3: To reassign labels, simply switch between the labels displayed in front of each category. You will encounter three options: "Productive," "Unproductive," and "Neutral." Choose the label that aligns with your preferences for each category.

By following these straightforward steps, you can efficiently customize application policies to meet your specific requirements.

Can we create a category?

No, categories cannot be created or edited. They are predefined groups used to classify and organize items, such as applications or URLs, based on certain criteria. Users are usually limited to selecting from the available predefined categories rather than creating new ones.
